Hi. I am looking to find out more about my family. Cornelius Frances (Frank) VERDOCK, born October 1, 1909 or 1912, listed his address as 28 Hancock Street, Fort Plain, NY in 1937 when he applied for social security. He lived in Fort Plain until at least 1943 when he left for the war. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and I believe lived in a Catholic orphanage in upstate NY (probably near Fort Plain). I believe he might have been married before he left for the war. His war records were destroyed in a fire. Thank you for your help.

Greetings: I am searching for any info on my great-grandmother & great-grandfather (?). Myra D. (BENTON) SEEBER was born Jan 25, 1821 @ Ames, N.Y. (Canajoharie Twp.) and came to Calif. in 1855 with no mention of her husband. My grandfather Byron Seeber was eight years old. She died on Nov. 7, 1904 in Oakdale, Ca., survived by three sons, one of which was my grandfather. Two letters from Palatine, N.Y. from sister-in-law Mary Benton are my only clues. Thank you. Steven T. Seeber.

Daniel MORGAN and Elizabeth MURPHY, both born in Waterford or Galway, Ireland, came to US about 1832. Their son was Thomas Joseph Morgan, born about 1856 in NY, married Mary HORIGAN, born Ireland, June 3, 1866, on Oct. 21, 1902. Thomas drowned about 1913 in Reservoir and Mary died in 1928. Both are buried at St. Joseph Cemetery, West Winfield, NY. Mary Horigan's parents were James Horigan, born about 1835 in Ireland, probably Waterford, died 1907 in W. Winfield, buried at St. Joseph. James Horigan's wife was Mary BRITT, born about 1845 in Ireland, Rexford Co. She died in W. Winfield in 1914. These are my husband's relatives. GenWeb is the greatest thing since sliced bread!! Keep it coming. SMorgan001@aol.com

KNOX, Canajoharie, Montgomery Co, NY 1760-1850: Looking for information on the descendants of James KNOX (1760-1821) and Anna (Nancy) EHLE (1767-1821). They lived in the Mapletown area of the Town of Canajoharie. James' will lists children Catherine, John, Herman, William, James, and Elizabeth. I know that son William m. Jane Ann MITCHELL and had at least four children. Have nothing on the others. James (Sr.) older brother Joseph came to Canajoharie in 1759 perhaps from Ireland at the age of five with father John. James Sr. and his brother-in-law Jacob EHLE are mentioned in the history of Canajoharie on this site. Hello. My SANDERS line is from this area, or some of them were. I am working on Zeno Jackson Sanders (called Jackson) and Millie Ann MICHAELS. I have some information on him and very little on her. He was b. abt 1835 Ohio and she was b. 2-14-1835 in Dallas, Vermillion Co. Il. He is from a Quaker family (lots of info there) and he died of disease from the Civil War service, so I have pension papers. If any of this sounds like a match to what you have, let me know. I am willing to share with you. Margaret Paisley Otell

CRILL: Revolutionary War veteran Thomas CRILL lived in Danube Township in Herkimer Co. until the 1830's. It appears he might have also used the first name Frederick. His son James was also shown in Herkimer Co, and it is assumed that his sons Henry, Thomas Jr., Frederick and James lived there at one time. I am working on Crills in this era, and would happily exchange info with anyone else whose research intersects with this family. E-mail: JohnLaird9@aol.com Thanks for your help.

Seek any information on Ann Eliza HART (b. 1810 Herkimer Co., d. 1882 Orleans Co.) the daughter of S. (or L.) Hart & Polly NEEIS (or WEEIS). Census records variously list the county of Ann Eliza's birth as Schoharie or Herkimer. Death certificate gives her and her parents' birthplace as Manhan, NY (could this be Manheim?) She married Matthew BURNS, (b. 1809 Montgomery Co., d. 1894 Orleans Co.) sometime prior to 1831 (place?). Known to have lived in PA between 1831- 1835, but was in Erie Co. NY by 1841/42.
