MABIE/MAVI/MEBIE in Mohawk Valley ca 1790: Penrose mentions a number of MABIEs as parents or sponsors in the Mohawk Valley ca 1790 including Anna, Elizabeth, Gadlyn, Dorothea, David, Albert, Jacob, Joseph, Abraham, Peter, John, and Hermanus. Do any of my fellow rooters have any information that sorts out the relationship between these MABIEs? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Stone Arabia Lutheran Church records report a marriage 20 Dec 1768 between Hennrich MAJER and Elisabetha ROSNERIN. Those names are usually spelled MOYER and ROSNER with umlaut over the "o" in Rosner. Need to know parents of both Hennrich and Elisabetha. Am hoping that Elisabetha's parents turn out to be Maria Catharina WAGNER and Georg Rosner, since they had an unnamed child bap. 1749 at Schoharie Lutheran Church.

Hi. Is anyone working on MAXIM, VAN DEUSEN, or POTTER in either Montgomery or Warren County? I have a gg-grandmother Lydia Jane (1840-1863) who was either a POTTER or a VAN DUESEN. She married Henry MAXIM who was born in Warren County about 1835. Lydia may have been a Van Deusen who married a George POTTER, and then later married Henry Maxim. I am trying to figure out who Lydia's parents were. Lydia and Henry had a daughter, Henrietta Maxim ( b. 9 May 1860 in Glens Falls ). Thanks!

I am looking for the family of my gg-Grandmother, Catherine MATTICE. I have reason to believe that she was born in New York. I don't know when or to whom she was born, but her husband, Andrew DEMORRIS, was born in 1851 so I would think that she was similar in age. I was told by another genealogist to try Montgomery County as many MATTICE's lived there. Thanks! Lara.

My great-great grandmother was Lydia McGILL from County Cork Ireland. She lived in Oneida County, which I am told was part of Herkimer/Montgomery. I don't know her DOB, but her daughter, Dorcas, was born in 1875. Lydia married a man with the surname of VAUGHN. Dorcas married a DESIR, then a WHITE, (later spelled WHYTE). There was a family farm in the area of Oneida or Syracuse.

Need port of entry into New Hampshire, Vermont and then New York, where he married Mary MENZIE, June 14th 1814, John Menzie's daughter. Then into Ontario, Canada, Elgin County, Aldborough Township. Mc GREGOR, Gregor and his wife Mary MENZIE. Gregor was possibly born in Auchmore, Scotland near Killin in 1769. He had one sister Janet born 1773. Their parent's were possibly Duncan Mc Gregor and Janet Mc FARLANE, married in Blair, Atholl (this I have from the I.G.I.). Gregor left Scotland in 1805 and was recorded in New Hampsire and Vermont and then in New York. I have the pages from the family bible made in Cooperstown, Montgomery County. In it is written the marriage date of Gregor and Mary Menzie, June 14th 1814, and two children born to them: Duncan 1815 and John 1816. Then they came into Canada and settled in Aldborough Twp Elgin County near Rodney, Ontario. Gregor's best friend was Thomas FORD. I have all facts down to now but need information for when they were in the U.S. They owned farms either in New York or Vermont I think. Colonel TALBOT brought them over with him from a place maybe called Caledonia. Came over with Finlay Mc DIRAMID, John Menzie (Mary's father) and James Mc KINLAY. Gregor is my ggg-grandfather. I'm willing to share all this when it is put to-gether. Thanking you in advance, Annie of "Gregor" search.

Had an uncle named Robert MILLER who was married to a woman named Maude. Had at least one child, a daughter named Elinor (not sure of the spelling). They lived in Amsterdam, N.Y. He was born in 1892 in Au Sable Forks, N.Y. I believe. His father was Albert and his mother was Elizabeth (SNOW) Miller. He had six brothers and all of their names began with the letter R. I think he died in 1984 if my research has directed me to the right Robert. If anyone reading this can verify the wife and daughter connection to this Robert, then I have connected with this uncle. Thank You. Craig Miller

I am looking for additional information on the Dr. Ezra AMES MULFORD Family. Dr. Mulford married a Zilpah PACKARD (parents unknown) in 1826. Several of their children were born in Montgomery Co. starting in 1827. Dr. Mulford would have been an early physician in the county. In about 1842, they moved to Walworth Co., WI where Dr. Mulford practiced medicine and farmed. In 1850 he was one of the signers of the Wisconsin State Constitution. I am trying to locate the parents of Zilpah Packard and make a connection to the name of their first named son: Delos WHITE MULFORD.
